Contract Crushing and Screening for Mining Projects

Mobile crushing and screening for mining operations

Eco-Match provides mobile contract crushing and screening services for mining operations, mine infrastructure projects and associated construction works across Southern Africa.

Mining sites can generate or hold substantial volumes of rock and other material that may be suitable for processing into construction aggregate. Where the material is appropriate for the intended application, mobile crushing and screening can turn selected source material into products for internal roads, hardstands, working areas and other mine infrastructure.

Eco-Match assesses each opportunity according to the source material, feed size, required end products, anticipated tonnages and site conditions. The aim is to establish a processing solution suited to the project's production requirements rather than relying on a standard plant configuration.

Processing suitable waste rock and stockpiled material

Existing waste-rock dumps, stockpiles and other suitable material sources may present an opportunity for on-site aggregate production.

Depending on material quality and the intended application, processed products may be used for:

  • Mine access and internal haul roads, where the product specification permits
  • Construction and maintenance of hardstands
  • General mine infrastructure and working areas
  • Road construction and rehabilitation within mining operations
  • Other approved applications requiring specified aggregate products

Not all mine waste rock is suitable for every application. Source material must be assessed, and the required grading and material properties must be verified through appropriate testing and approval by the relevant project team.

A project-specific processing solution

Mining environments can involve demanding site conditions, variable source material and substantial production requirements. Before quoting, Eco-Match considers the feed size, material characteristics, target products, expected monthly tonnage, total project volume, operating period and site-specific requirements.

These factors influence the appropriate crushing and screening configuration and the production rate that can reasonably be expected.

Our service is focused on delivering crushing and screening as a production operation. We work with the appointed contractor or mine team to understand the required scope and coordinate the processing activities within the wider site programme.

Eco-Match has delivered crushing and screening services within established mining environments.

Two Rivers Platinum Mine concentrator waste rock crushing

Two Rivers Platinum Mine concentrator

Approximately 180,000 tonnes of previously stockpiled waste rock were processed into G5 aggregate for construction use within the mine environment.

Dwarsrivier and Two Rivers Platinum Mine waste rock processing

Dwarsrivier / Two Rivers Platinum Mine

Approximately 70,000 tonnes of stockpiled waste rock were processed into Crusher Run for construction applications as part of a focused programme.

These projects demonstrate Eco-Match's experience in processing suitable stockpiled material into useful construction aggregates within operating mining environments.

Contract crushing rather than equipment hire

Eco-Match provides a managed crushing and screening service, using its plant and operational team to undertake the agreed processing scope. This differs from a conventional equipment-hire arrangement in which the customer may be responsible for operating and managing the hired machinery.

The scope and commercial arrangements are established for each project, taking account of the required production volumes, material, products and operating period.

Whether you require processing of suitable waste rock, existing stockpiles or other raw material for mine infrastructure, Eco-Match can assess the opportunity against your project requirements.

To help us evaluate the scope, provide the mine or project location, source material information, estimated tonnages, required products, anticipated monthly volumes and expected duration.
