Mobile Crushing and Screening for Road Construction

On-site aggregate production for road construction projects

Eco-Match provides mobile crushing and screening services for road construction, rehabilitation and infrastructure projects across Southern Africa. We work with civil engineering contractors and project teams to process suitable source material into aggregates required for road construction and associated infrastructure.

By establishing crushing and screening operations at or near the source material, projects can process available material on site rather than relying entirely on commercially supplied aggregate transported from external sources.

Our approach is production-focused. We assess the available material, required aggregate products, project specifications and anticipated tonnages before determining the most suitable crushing and screening configuration for the project.

Producing road construction aggregates

Eco-Match processes suitable natural rock, borrow pit material and existing stockpiled material into aggregates for a range of road construction applications.

Depending on the source material and project requirements, products may include:

Our crushing and screening plant can be configured to achieve required top sizes and grading envelopes, including applicable COLTO/COTO requirements where appropriate. Final material compliance depends on the characteristics of the source material and must be verified through the relevant laboratory testing.

Supporting road construction programmes

Crushing and screening can be an important part of a road project's overall production programme. Our team considers the factors that influence output, including feed size, material hardness, moisture content, required grading, production volumes and site conditions.

Before preparing a quotation, we work with the contractor to understand the material available, expected monthly tonnage, required products and duration of the work. This allows us to assess the project and determine a practical processing solution.

Eco-Match has supported road construction and rehabilitation projects involving the processing of borrow pit material, stockpiled aggregates and challenging source materials.

Examples include:

R573 Marble Hall road upgrade crushing and screening plant

R573 Marble Hall road upgrade

Approximately 100,000 tonnes of raw material processed into 63 mm COLTO G6 aggregate.

N4 Sections 14 and 15 Swartruggens to Zeerust borrow pit material processing

N4 Sections 14 and 15, Swartruggens to Zeerust

Approximately 98,000 tonnes of shale-derived borrow pit material processed into COLTO G5 aggregate.

Kathu to Hotazel MR938 road upgrade aggregate stockpiles

Kathu to Hotazel MR938 road upgrade

Approximately 280,000 tonnes of material processed into G4 and G7 aggregate products.

These projects demonstrate our experience in configuring mobile crushing and screening solutions around different source materials and road construction requirements.

A production-focused crushing and screening partner

Eco-Match provides a managed crushing and screening service rather than simply supplying equipment for hire. We focus on understanding the production requirement, selecting an appropriate processing configuration and working with the client’s project team to support the required programme.
