Why Eco-Match Chooses McCloskey
The J45 Jaw Crusher and R155 Scalping ScreenReliability, consistent feed, efficient material handling and the ability to work in demanding conditions all play a role in keeping a project moving. That is why Eco-Match has chosen McCloskey as our preferred equipment brand as we continue to build and expand our fleet.
McCloskey International is a leading manufacturer of mobile crushing, screening and material processing equipment, with a focus on equipment designed for demanding applications.
For Eco-Match, selecting equipment is not simply about individual machine specifications; it is important that each machine can perform reliably as part of a complete crushing and screening configuration.
When put together in a crushing and screening train, the McCloskey J45 Jaw Crusher and R155 Scalping Screen provide a robust and versatile combination for primary crushing and screening.
McCloskey J45 Jaw Crusher
The J45 is a high-capacity mobile jaw crusher for primary crushing. It runs a 1,140 mm x 688 mm (45″ x 27″) single-toggle jaw and is available with a Caterpillar engine up to 261 kW (350 hp). A high-capacity hopper of around 6 m³ over a vibrating feeder, plus level and load sensors, help keep the feed consistent and the material handling efficient. For Eco-Match, a key advantage of the J45 is its ability to handle demanding feed material while staying flexible across different applications. Its strong construction and open chassis design support practical day-to-day operation and maintenance, with good access around key components for routine inspections and servicing. The J45 is our first choice for primary crushing, and it slots into different crushing and screening trains depending on the feed material, production requirements and final products needed.
McCloskey R155 Scalping Screen
The R155 is a heavy-duty mobile scalper for demanding applications. It carries a 4.88 m x 1.525 m (16 ft x 5 ft) high-energy, two-bearing screenbox, one of the largest in its class at roughly 155 ft² of screening area, and a 97 kW (127 hp) diesel engine, with dual-power configurations also available. Its full-bodied design works with difficult materials including heavy rock, sticky clay and fines. A direct-feed Hardox-lined hopper, integrated conveyors and hydraulic set-up features are built for practical site operation, and McCloskey publishes an on-site set-up time of approximately 10 minutes.

Why reliability matters to us
For a mobile crushing and screening subcontractor, reliability is more than a machine that starts every morning. It means consistent production through the working day, efficient material flow, minimal unnecessary downtime and the ability to adapt the configuration to different project requirements. On a remote renewable energy, mining or road project, downtime is not a few lost hours; it can affect loading, hauling, stockpiling, downstream processing and the overall programme. That is a strong argument for on-site crushing on remote projects.
Equipment is only part of the solution
Reliable plant is essential, but performance also depends on how it is configured and operated. We consider the feed material, required production volumes, final product sizes and grading before setting the train. The J45 and R155 run as individual machines or as part of a wider train; one project may need a primary jaw crusher and a screen, while another needs additional secondary crushing and screening to hit a specific grading envelope. The value of a subcontractor is not just the equipment on site, but the ability to keep it productive, configure it correctly and deliver the aggregate products the project needs. That is what our crushing and screening services are built around.
Frequently asked questions
What crushing and screening plant does Eco-Match run?
McCloskey is our preferred brand as we build and expand our fleet. The McCloskey J45 Jaw Crusher and R155 Scalping Screen are the core primary crushing and screening combination.
What are the McCloskey J45 specifications?
The J45 has a 1,140 mm x 688 mm (45 by 27 inch) single-toggle jaw, a Caterpillar engine up to 261 kW (350 hp), a high-capacity hopper of around 6 cubic metres and level and load sensors for a consistent feed.
What is the McCloskey R155 used for?
Heavy-duty mobile scalping and screening. Its 4.88 by 1.525 m two-bearing high-energy screenbox and direct-feed Hardox-lined hopper handle difficult materials including heavy rock, sticky clay and fines.
Can the J45 and R155 work together?
Yes. They run as individual machines or as part of a wider crushing and screening train, for example a primary jaw crusher followed by a screen, with secondary crushing added where a specific grading is required.
Why does Eco-Match standardise on McCloskey?
For reliability, consistent feed and material handling, good access for maintenance, and the flexibility to configure the plant around different project requirements.
